Daulatabad fort is a very charming place, the archaic subtlety and brown, worn out feel of debris and tragedy simply envelopes you as you approach the fort’s compound, even when you’re in the car!
I had taken a picture of this lone tree, the ruins of the palace and the Minar in the background from one of the higher levels of the fort. (I think this was after gate 5 or 7)
I did the basic wash of the background colours and filled the details in with a black gel pen. Once again, I cheated and escaped the wrath of the liner brush and swapped it for the pen!
