ICSE board exam practice – The Inchcape Rock

Practice paintings in the run up to the ICSE Art Paper III board exam. They asked us to illustrate a poem as one of the questions and I chose ‘The Inchcape Rock’ by Robert Southey. While it’s not the best representation of the Scotland’s shores at night, I had to compose and execute the whole painting in under two days, so, yes, I did compromise a bit.

But hey! a 96 isn’t that bad, eh?

Poster, Acrylic, Watercolour paints and watercolour pencils.
